It is a gas tractor and has a single 12volt batter.
Based on the limited electrical drawings I have been able to find it came from the factory as a positive ground.
I would assume that if I changed the battery to so that the negative goes to ground, swap the generator leads, and swap the leads on the amp meter that I would be fine.
However I am not sure why their appears to be a difference in the ignition upgrade units between positive and negative grounded 706 tractors.
I have asked PERTRONIX if I could just swap the wires on their electronic ignition modual and their responce is NO. I need a different kit.
