A chain saw is far more dangerous.A buzz saw never moves around.You just have to be smart enough to stay away from the blade.I saw alone ,just let the cut pieces drop and move along the pile.I know plenty of people who have been cut by a chain saw.I call them a cord wood saw,a sharp saw cuts quiet.The new shaft drive saws are well guarded.Ive worked around sawmills.The sawyer and the off bearer have no reason to be near the running saw blade.If some one is taking away from a cordwood saw they cant be dreamers or wave their hands around.All tools can get you.
