KEH what she will need to get around depends a lot on where she is going to live.There are a lot of 2wd cars on our roads.Most have the 4wd for there own driveways.
Most times in town the streets are kept pretty clear.The county and Iowa dot do a good job also.
When the weather is bad take the bus. The university has an great bus system.
Every winter varies here in Iowa. Some years we may only get a few inches of snow. Others, like this last year, we get a lot of ice and snow.
If she keeps her car fairly clean the salt effect is minimal.
My niece is a nurse at the hospital and she lives within walking distance of the hospital.
If she comes during the summer and gets use to it gradually she will get along just fine.
When she gets here I can give her my phone # so she can call if she has any problems.
