Well . . . I'm not sure what your warning is referring to. But . . . what I am referring to is that cars and trucks have had have unvented closed-loop fuel systems for years (not counting the carbon cannisters). Older vehicles and tractors had vented gas caps and/or tanks. The newer closed systems seem to have fewer bad-gas problems.
Also - in regard to 5 gallon plastic gas cans - although I wasn't referring to them - are just about all air-tight. That's why you're not supposed to fill them all the way - room needs to be left for expansion. If you're trying to say they're dangerous in some way - I don't believe it. I've been using them over 40 years and had no problems yet.
