I have one of the less expensive Magellan units (it was about $220 at Costco) and it has been bullet proof for me for about two years. I use it almost every day, have never updated squat, and never had a problem. I recently bought some cheap tractor stuff on an on-line auction from a place about 3 hours away. I plugged the address and zip in- bingo- it talked me the whole way down, right to the door-then talked me home when I hit HOME. Within this decade, I think every car will have one.
