Are you referring to the US operation, "Market Garden"-? US Army paratroopers from the 101st Airborne Division?- dropped into Holland? To this day, I remember arriving at Fort Bragg, NC, Feb "65, three in the morning, fresh out of AIRBORNE at Ft. Benning, start of the Green Beret training at Bragg, walking down the hall of the HQ, seeing the pix of WWII jumps, Salerno, Sicily, Ste. Marie Eglise, Normandy, Omaha Beach, and others...and thinking....THIS is the legacy that we have to live up to? Awesome experience, and proudest time of my life to be part of that 3 percent to complete training and earn the patch on the beret, and be on an A-Team. Di Opresso Libere.
