My grandfather on my mother's side was a Canadian soldier in WW II.He said when he was in Holland he was held up in a families home waiting for more help to arrive so they could drive the german's out.He returned with a group 10 or so years ago and he saw members of that familly and they still reconized eachother after all that time.He remembered that people wondered why at the time they all went over to land in France.He said if they didn't,God help the people.He is still alive in his mid eighties and quite well,if he was here reading this I am sure he would say that your welcome!
