Thanks Bob. I did use the diode that you recommended. It's larger than they sell at the local Radio Shack but I was able to get the right ones quickly through an on-line source. I was messing with the lights etc. for quite some time so the switch was on for an extended period. I think I have the headlight problem solved so until there is another issue I shouldn't have the switch on (without running the motor) for an excessive period of time. Thanks again for the great picture. For guys like me it's great!
