You have two wires coming out of plug in alternator. One runs to the power plug and the other to , say hot side of coil. This one to coil had the diode on it before getting to coil. Radio shack sales them # 1n4408 . Comes in package of 4 and like $3.00 in cost. Buy running the wire off alternator to the coil. This allows the shut off of alternator on when keys of tractor is turned off. I used a 18 ga. wire on this one. The other wire on alternator plug does down to Load plug and then off it comes a 10 ga. wire that I have run down to starter hot side. Hope this helps you. If you need a picture and info on this setup. Then email me and I will send it.
