1) Make sure the tank selecter lever is set for the tank you have fuel in and fuel is turned on.
2) Open petcocks (located beside spark plugs)
3) Set choke to full on position.
4) Stand facing flywheel and pull flywheel counterclockwise (toward front of tractor) until it starts to get tight.
5) Give flywheel quick hard pull.
6a) If engine fires set choke to halfway postion.
6b) If engine dosen't fire repeat steps 4 and five.
6c) If engine fires and shuts off set choke to halfway position and repeat steps 4 and 5.
7) After engine is running close petcocks, and when warmed up shut off choke.
If after repeated attempts and engine dosen't start make sure you are getting fuel. You should be able to tell by mist coming from petcocks. Hope this helps.
