I don't know anything about either model that you mentioned,but if the diesel has enough hp to pull it without lugging down,than you deffiniately want the diesel,will cost you bout half to do the same work.We used to have a 410 massey combine with a 292 chevy engine,would burn a tank in less than a day.We now have a 550 massey with a 354 perkins diesel,has the same tank as the old 410 did and you can do more than twice the work on the same number of gallons.Just my 2c,pd.
