I personally wouldnt do it but there is a way.First dont hook the jumper cables to the battery.Find a good ground on the tractor and hook up the neg lead.Turn on the switch on the tractor and hook the positive to the STARTER.It wont hurt the starter but the sparks it may create may ignite some fumes floating around.Only problem would be if there isnt enough juice in the battery to fire the thing off.If you do this,PLEASE BE CAREFUL
