Been there and done that too. I had a "rush job" one time on a slant 6 that was used as an industrial engine. I had 11 of the 12 seats in. Next one I also found the water jacket. Also on a Case diesel head one time. Called "core shift. Did you ever do any 6.2 engines? You need to use a real thin seat on those. Looks like an intake there in your picture, how deep was the counterbore? What kind of seat cutter do you have? J.
