Contrary to popular belief it's not all that hard to do. They call these contraptions tructors.
I've seen everything from forklifts to combines built out of different sized trucks.
I built a garden tractor once from a junked out Crosley car. If you want to build and have some mechanical ability and a few tools it can be done. It takes alot more time and thought than actual money to do it.
If you're like some of us old bats here and enjoy tinkering and building something then by all means I would say to go for it.
