One of the problems was ending the deduction of credit card interest on taxes. alot of people refinaced homes to payoff credit cards so they could take the deduction. then they ran the cards up again. Quite a few of us know what it was like to farm on 18% money and those it didn't go broke got a heck of an education. My college farm management and econ sure didn't prepare me for what was to come.
