Just get you one of these. An AutoFyrStop fire bomb. Use it 3 ways or so the instructions say. Bombing, sprinkling or automatic. Sitting in its holder it has a fused link that if it gets too hot the fuse breaks so hammer hits the glass nipple and goes dingalingaling on the makeshift bell as the Carbon Tetrachloride gushes out. This was in a house I bought one time. Always liked it and have it in the kitchen as an ornament. Good post about fire safety btw. Always timely advise to check the fire extinguishers. I just checked the dry powder one I keep just off the kitchen. Haven't looked in a year but the needle is still in the green zone.
