Repair shop at a local sawmill hired a new kid who claimed to be a mechanic but could not verify any work exoerience. First two days he somewhat bragged of his accomplishments as a mechanic. Last week about two days prior to him being hired the other mechanic had overhauled a big V8 Detroit but dad not replaced the exhaust stack. The shop is a metal building with a low ceiling. This kid fired it up and when it started he got scared abd ran out of the shop in fear that it would blow up. He had never seen a Detroit before. He has not told any more stories of his mechanical experiences.
