lanse, i gave yer problem a little thought, and think i have an inexpensive and easy way to fix. if you have a tractor supply or farm and fleet near you, measure the crankshaft diameter, prolly 3/4 or 1 inch shaft. pick up a hub for the weld-a sprocket assembly with the inner bore diameter to match your mower shaft. the hub is machined to match the shaft size and has a keyway in it with a set screw. put a longer key in it so the hub can share the key with the upper pulley. tap the hole bigger on the end of the crankshaft, new bolt and good to go!!
