My 89 chevy had problems with fuel pumps for the former owner. I bought it non running with the fuel tank in the box. When installing the new tank we found one of the wires that fed the pump had cracked insulastion and was full of corrosion. Replaced the wire and no fuel pump problems since I"ve owned it. My 93 chevy wanted to die every so often, but would usually start again later. After replacing fue pump, fuel pump relay and $500 in other parts I found where somebody had spliced the wires that feed the distrubitor respliced them no problem since. Lee
