Just went through this. Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. Even though they are small cars the safety ratings are good due to technology, both reliable,both have good resale. Corolla gets about 3 more mpg Civic is about 500.00 more and Civic insurance was abut 45.00 more a year and today at 3.45/ gal. soon to be 4.00 you will be trying to save all the gas you can. Tossed the coin and went with the Corolla. Getting 35 city and last weekend went to Tenn. and got 39.5 mpg. Looked at the Ford and most of it was made out of the country, brother works in Mexico for GM, we have NAFTA so whats made in the USA any more. Besides I have a Camery, made in Kentucky and a Tundra made in Princeton In. so the last time I checked they were in the USA
