Don"t forget Hugo Chavez and his saber rattling which he is using as a followup to cutting off our oil because our domestic oil companies are trying to seize his assets in the US to pay for their assets he nationalized. Anything like this is an opportunity for the specualtors to drive up the price of oil. The best I can figure, they are the root of our fuel price woes. The devaluation of the dollar merely compounds this. If we could drill off the coast of Florida and in ANWR we might be able to help ourselves a little but both options are no politically correct.
By the way, our beloved Congress just passed legislation to remove the tax loopholes from our domestic oil companies. However, Hugo Chavez" Citgo is exempted as they do not fall under the "category" of domestic. So, US companies take a hit and Chavez gets a pass. Go figure...
