Also, I don't mind people speaking their minds - as long as it doesn't climb to the level of sedition. Some of your's does. Such a thing was once considered treason in this country - read the good old "Sedition Act."
In regard to China - no - I won't "fit right in." I don't speak any of the various Chinese dialects - and I look way too anglo.
So, what is the "triple price of gas" you rant about. We are paying 1/2 to 1/3 the price of many other nations. Also, what we pay today in the USA is roughly equivalent to what we were paying in the USA 40 years ago.
Now, the devalued dollar IS a huge problem - for which I have no useful answers. And, if a person did - and went public with them - he or she could never get elected. Look what happened when George Bush attempted to improve the long-term approach to Social Security. Much of our economic woes are from overspending on projects that are short-term fixes at best. Same with our involvement in Iraq and Afghanastan - all long term approaches - with a country barely patient enough of quick fixes.
We need energy independence - which requires a much higher level of energy efficiency. With the latter - we are WAY behind many other nations. In fact, the great World-War creator - Germany - is way ahead of us.
