no , the quick release valve is still in the line, this was aparently some kind of a 2 way valve that somebody put there for unknown reasons, it had 2 of the 4 ports capped off and was installed in a unused port of the r 14 relay valve for the service brakes, when air pressure was applied to charge the park chambers, the air went back into the relay valve and out thru the bottom exhaust, the result was no brake realease and rapid loss of air pressure, i am guessing that this valve has failed, and at one time it was simply used to connect the 2 pieces of air line to the park brake, as the illistrated diagram of a air brake set up does not even show this valve, and according to the diagram, nowhere is the park system plumbed into the service system at the relay valve, just courious why the valve was there
