I suspect that there is(are) bad diaphram(s) in one of the maxi chambers. I'd take the service lines loose from the chambers and then release the maxi's. Which ever chamber is shooting air out the service fitting has the bad diaphram. A new piggyback chamber is probably the quickest way out unless you don't mind buggering with cutting the rods and fitting a new clevis for a whole new chamber. Cost is probably less for the complete chamber though...
