I see what happened. Your Taxable can't be more than your SEV. Must be you haven't owned this place very long for them to be that close together. With the ratio based on a two year rolling average,you'll be seeing your Taxable go down for at least a couple of years. As for letting the assessor in,go in and get a copy of your card. It'll tell you just what they have you down as having now. I've seen,more than once where folks are assessed for things they don't have. If that's the case,get whatever is wrong,removed.
