My Dad always said a forked willow stick worked the best, he found where our well is that way, my brother thought he was crazy until he tried it and felt the pull. After Dad found it he had a neighbor come check it. The neighbor carried a 3/4 galvanized pipe about 5 feet long in one hand, he found the same spot and said there would be good water abou 30 to 40 feet down. The well is 37 feet deep and has been working since 1967. Lee
