I keep a 1 gallon pumpup sprayer with a solution of 1 cup dawn dish washing liquid and fill the rest up with water. It's cheap, very effective, and safe. The sprayer can spray 10-12 feet and it kills them as good as gasoline. I don't know why it works but it does. I use it around my feed bins and propane tanks, been doing it for years.
