Here in Tx its no better. One suburb of Dallas passed a law requiring apts. etc. to check for legal status before they could rent. Anyone care to guess who has challenged the constitutionality of that law? Here in Dallas, if an illegal has a wreck, they jump out and run, leaving the car. A friend, hispanic descent but 2nd generation American, worked for IRS. Illegals would come in, get their taxes done and if they were due a refund, they"d file. If not, they just walked out the door. Forget getting medical treatment in our county supported hospital. You can"t even get in the door to the emergency room for all the illegals. They bill Mexico, but don"t hold their breath on getting paid. The hospital closest to where I live, just closed because of non-insured patients who don"t pay. Some say this is the biggest invasion ever. I have to agree.
