I had a Satoh with a Mitsubishi engine...maybe the whole thing was built by Mitsubishi....it was a POS.
I also had a JD 1050, built by Yanmar and without a doubt..out of the half dozen using tractors I have owned...it was the very best. In fact, as I have said before, I wish Yanmar built ALL of JD's tractors! It ran on fumes, had lots of power and dead reliable. Like an idiot, I sold it and bought a new bigger JD. I should have kept it. It had a few flaws though...no PS and none could be found to add on. It has dry brake shoes, expensive to replace and they don't last long. Everything else was bulletproof. I had that tractor for over 20 years and it never had the first leak...anywhere. The Yuasa battery that came in it lasted 17 years (seventeen)!
