I have dealt with a lot of car dealers new and used(Service Manager in a tire and repair shop for 13yr.). Most up scale dealers in this area plan to make $5000.00 on late model low mileage cars and trucks. I know you all think I am nuts but when another dealer looks at a car and tells you what a dealer paid for it yesterday and you call him two days later and he wants $5000.00 more than he paid - $200.00 for white wall tires that is a lot of profit. We used to do about $5000.00 a month on dealer service(we were cheaper than the dealers own sevvice departments.
