OK, I know this has been cussed and discussed before, and I have read quite a bit of the archives, but I"m going to ask again. I"m looking at a "04 F-350 with 6.0 power stroke. Head gaskets have recently been replaced. Do they blow often, or were the factory installed gaskets faulty and a changeout fixes the problem? Any other things I should be looking for. I realize that many believe that the 7.3 is a better engine, but anything with that engine around here has a million miles and has been rode hard and put away wet. Probably a good testimony to the 7.3"s durability, but my banker doesn"t see the value. Also, what is the website that I remember being mentioned so often that specializes in diesel engines? Would like to go over there and do some research as to some practical modifications to exhaust and intake flow to improve power and especially mileage. Your constructive comments would be helpful.
