Burrhead, I am "these guys" you referred to as the one who posted to charge the 8 volt battery on 12 volts. If you would spend more time reading the post and less time being the class clown you would have read that I stated, the low 12 setting and on a multiple voltage battery charger is the correct setting for charging the 8 volt battery and that it would be equivalent to charging a 12 volt battery on boost position in the higher 12 volt setting. I have such a charger as described above and it has these settings and instructions printed on the face of the selector panel. Most people realize that the charging voltage must exceed the battery voltage and to charge a 6 volt battery on a 6 volts charger will never bring the battery up to full capacity and it will remain undercharged. As per my posting something that would be dangerous or wrong intentionally, you are off base. If you would put the time into your responses that I put in my posts we all could benefit.
