A quick check would be to pull the shifter into neutral when you let off the gas, if the shake is still there, you pretty much eliminated the trans.
I would also suspect a ujoint. Don`t do the thing of going under there and trying to wiggle the drive shaft. Take it off so you can move the ujoints thru there whole range of motion. I can`t tell you how many times I`ve found a siezed up ujoint causing different vibration issues. Good Luck BW
