I have an outside wood burner. Air does travel into the house in the fresh air side and returns in the other fresh air duck. Works great and when the ice storm hit here in December. No electrity was to be had and was out of it for a week. Now the furnace has it's own fan that is electric. So I had a generator and just tapped into the fans wires with extenstin cord. Worked great and we kept warm. Now I also have a converter for 12 volt to electrity. Use a Marine batter for power of it. This is for big emergency like out of gas for generator and don't want to freeze over night my old butt. lol So I can just run a cord from the converter to the wiring on fan.
