Back in the sixties, Dad had a Farmall 350 with a 3-16 fast hitch plow. He wouldn't put any weights on the front, and that tractor spent half its plowing time with the front in the air. One time I was plowing some sticky wet ground, and when I got to the end of the field the plow was up as high as it wuld go, and still 8 inches in the ground! I had to back up to get it out. You could take off on flat gound in 4th with the plow raised clear up and it would dig dirt.
