i should have mentioned the jd is a diesel, and compared to the ford, it has twice the power, and burns less than half the fuel, we use it as a loader tractor and i disc and harrow with it too, i love my old ford, and all old tractors, but with 300 a gallon fuel that jd is simply cheaper to run
