I hit a car that was completelt STOPPED in the road on a terribly foggy day--no one was hurt as I was only going about 20 MPH due to the fog. Other party was outside of his car scraping his windows due to no defroster---he was stopped in his lane right on the road. I got a ticket for "failure to maintain control" of my vehicle. I fought it and lost, but judge reduced the fine to ONE DOLLAR and told the sherrif he should have had better things to do than ticket me on a technicality when the other person had stopped in the roadway on a foggy day.
