The one I made out of carbon arc rod.I used a5/16inch compression type fitting,split on one side with the hacksaw as the rod was less then the 5/16inch copper tubing I used and made a handle by lots of tape.That thing would heat up right now when put across a 6 volt battery.When they went to 12volt I made one a full rod length to control it.
