I have seen line speeds up to 100 per hour. Normal production is around 60 per hour. A 100 per line needs to be very long, only one I saw that fast was at Chrysler. I think it was 1.5 miles long. Modern lines are generally at 60, and if the production goes below about 45 it usually isn't economic to run the line. Usually the limits on production are the body shop, and the paint shop. The horseplay would not be tolerated.
