I have seen line speeds up to 100 per hour. Normal production is around 60 per hour. A 100 per line needs to be very long, only one I saw that fast was at Chrysler. I think it was 1.5 miles long. Modern lines are generally at 60, and if the production goes below about 45 it usually isn't economic to run the line. Usually the limits on production are the body shop, and the paint shop. The horseplay would not be tolerated.

I have dial up so didn't bother looking, but I bet you are talking about those guys who toss a Model T Ford together like that. I have been to a car show where they did that but missed it, hear it is something to see especially in person! I think they were at a show in Charlotte NC at the speedway.
