I think the main problem is that wages arent going up nearly as fast as everything else is.People on fixed incomes are having problems.
I both own a farm and work in a factory.People at work often talk about high food prices but I never hear them bad mouth the farmer.Most are more worried about their wages,health insurance costs,high energy costs,the prices of houses and new vehicles-etc..
In the 1960's my Mom had 500 laying hens and sold eggs for 40 cents a dozen to the local college.In the summer when school was out we sold them for less.
