I heard it was a conspiracy headed by the member farms in CHEPEC (CHicken Egg producing/Eating Co-op). Yep, the government has been asking the chickens to lay more eggs, but they refuse. There is talk of soy eggs perhaps taking the place of real eggs and maybe in the near future.....corn eggs might come on the market. In the meantime, people are advised to curtail their egg guzzling ways and consider a meal that uses less eggs per serving (EPS).
