I put down 7.50 for a bag of layer pellets.The clerk said its 9.35 today.The cost of poultry feed is up 40% in a few years.New egg cartons are 20 cents each now.I kept 24 hens for many years,down to 6 now.Didnt sell any eggs last year.If I cant get fresh eggs I dont use them.Eggs are 2.00 to 2.50 a dozen here.
