I hear you on that. All my yellow stuff (dozer, backhoe, skid steer) has straight hour meters, and all my ag stuff has the meter driven off the tach. My dad has one tractor with a straight hour meter, 7610 series II Europeon edition with the digital dash. I've got a 7610 series II orchard model of the same vintage and its still got a 'wind up meter'.
