is it a small block chevy, like a 350, or does it have odd looking valve covers, straight across the top and then kind of half circles around the spark plugs? with a dual point i'm kinda leaning to a 348/409 motor. the biggie was the 435 hp dual quad 409 from the 1964 era. the old small blocks had a hole about golf ball size next to the distributor for the crankcase vent. the porcupine head, 396/427 came out around 1965/1966. the 409 was a 135 degree v-8 as opposed to the 90 degree in the small and big block motors. they had gobs of torque, but did not like a lot of rpms.
