I rented a D4 Cat one time to push back snowbanks. Pedal steering!!!! I picked it up at a neighboring farm and was driving it down the town road when the owner's daughter came blasting by me in her pickup. I instinctively jammed the left pedal down, thinking it was the clutch. That thing came around sideways in the road so fast I didn't have a chance to be scared, missed her back bumper by about a foot. I was real careful with it after that, managed top get through the next two days without any more mishaps.
