Hi All , I need to get a different web browser for this old machine that was originally designed for windows xp pro but now has been rebuilt with 98se with a much smaller hard-drive than original ( 60 gig down to 10 gig ) . I currently use netscape and I still have IE on here but was looking at the Firefox 2.0 browser . I just don't really like the usability of IE and it's so S L O W on dialup . Netscape is at least twice as fast for me . I just found out that netscape is no more as of Feb. , that mozilla firefox is the recommended replacement mainly because that's the base for both browsers but it's also a product of AOL which also owned netscape I guess . I don't like the idea of anything AOL on my computer but netscape has served me well and until tonight I didn't know that AOL really owned the build so I guess ignorance is bliss . So if firefox is a good browser I'll use it . I've heard of linux but haven't looked into it . It is a browser isn't it ? Thanks for any opinions . ...Randy
