Gravity flow system is like on a lawn mower so the tank sits higher then the carb and that is all that pushes gas into the carb. But on a diesel it has a fuel pump like on a car or truck to push fuel to the injector pump which then increases the pressure a lot more. Shoot and injector pump on a diesel will push fuel so hard if your hands in the way it will shoot it in one side and out the other side and you will loose that hand because of it
