If it has a black stripe decal the length of the hood. then its a 30 series (430/530). If not it may be a 00 series (200/300/500). If you have a 430 series, the tag should on the dash, (or two rivet holes where its supposed to be). The hood and side panels will be a one piece unit from the dash all the way up to the nose piece. Two pieces total from steering wheel to headlights. If you have a 530 series, the tag should be on the right lower side panel (close to your knee), which it detachable, and if that little panel is gone, then your serial number tag is gone. The 530 hood is in four sections from wheel to headlights. (dash, tank, hood and nose piece. Its possible your fathers 530 is taller or bigger looking if its on tall tires and tall spindles if its an ag or general purpose tractor and yours could be a utility version of the same tractor and sit much lower to the ground.
