Friend of my Dad's got tangled in a mounted picker. Got the second hand in trying to get the first one out of the snapping rolls and gathering chains. He was alone in the field at the time, but his son arrived in a matter of 5 minutes or so. After stopping the picker, he determined that he was unable to get his Dad out of the machine with the tools he had available, so he picked him up, put him on top of the right side of the picker housing, and drove that tractor 1/2 mile to the house, where he could call for help and start taking the picker apart to remove his father! In times like that, you do what you have to do!
